Bye Bye Bunny

The infamous Bishop Allen bunny is no more. I don't know who originally tagged my Central Square office building with the bunny, but for years it has remained untouched - a big deal in a neighborhood covered in graffiti. The bunny was respected. That is, until a few weeks ago when my building was attacked and someone broke the unspoken rule. The bunny couldn't be saved. Painters are outside now finishing up. Tear.

This rendition of the Wizard of Oz characters is one of several illustrations found at www.thedesigninspiration.com. The image above is one of my favorites from the series, but they are all really neat and if you're an Oz fan you have to check them out.

Clean and Cozy Living Room

I found this picture at Remodelista.com. The choices in the room are simple and clean, but I can still see myself curling up on that couch with a cup of tea. That "comfortable" vibe is sometimes hard to find in such large, contemporary spaces. I think in this room it's the overstuffed pillows and huge area rugs that warm the place up. The exposed wood on the ceiling also gives the space a rustic feel. And, of course, the windows and doors are amazing and help draw the eye up and out. I'm not a huge fan of that rocking chair, but all around it's a great room.

New Purse!

I found this carpet and cream leather gem for $6 at the Central Square Goodwill last week. It has no tags, so I don't know if it's anything special, but it is very special to me. I couldn't leave the store without it.

Broken Dish Pendants

Polished - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5049916

I temporarily misplaced one of my favorite broken dish necklaces. I was devastated because the shop I got mine at in Cambridge no longer carries them, so I began scouring the internet for a replacement. Luckily, I found my lost one. But while hunting I came across some very cool broken dish jewelers, including The Broke Plate Pendant Company and Polished.

Painted Tiles by Amy Adams

Design*Sponge is one of the few websites I follow on a daily basis. I'm addicted. They are constantly updating their site with clever and quirky design concepts. Above is a great weekend project idea submitted by Amy Adams of perch! design. I think I might try something like this in my new apartment (now that I have space for projects!). Thanks for the great idea Amy.

"Stairway" Print by Tamara Thomsen

This great $20 print by Tamara Thomsen was my catalyst for the prettygoods. I came across it on www.20x200.com and sent the link to three or four people before deciding to create a central location to post all my fun finds. Thanks for the inspiration Tamara!
